The NHI Investment Management GmbH and NHI Capital GmbH are headed by Eckhart Schmidt and Cristina Bülow.
They both are seasoned and highly experienced investment managers with a successful track record. They hold degrees in business administration from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. Both partners followed an investment management path.
Eckhart Schmidt worked as a consultant and commercial manager in medium sized companies. Then he became partner at private equity boutique Pall Mall Capital in London (UK), which invested among other investments in cooperation with Warburg-Pincus in the German Mittelstand.
In 1997 he founded his own private equity firm and subsequently acquired the ownership of NHI Nord-Hanse Investments GmbH from its founder. Since then, the investment volume of the company rose from 50 m to 420 m Euros.
Cristina Bülow worked for Citibank, Arthur Andersen and the European Investment Bank. In 2001, she became partner at Ernst & Young and built up a department for the structuring of alternative investment funds.
In 2008, Cristina Bülow became Managing Director of the management companies for alternative investment funds of Aquila Capital (5 bn Euros under management) and in 2015 Group CFO of the Dr. Peters Group (5 bn Euros under management).
